I made a simple list of the possible trips, by car in France, departing from Paris, with a professional Driver.
Here are my best recommendations, sorted below in order of what you “should see” according to me.

Here is a list of my favorite Day Trips from Paris that are not particularly Jewish but that I would recommend to do with a Driver from Paris
I took in consideration the importance of the monument, the distance from Paris, the budget and the beauty of the area that you will discover in this order below:
1 – Château de Versailles
First on my list. See Trianon Gardens and Versailles Palace
40 min away from Paris
Pick-up at your hotel 9am and drop off at 5 pm at your hotel
Tour Duration : Full day / Half Day
You will see:
- The Palace of Versailles
- The Gardens with the Fountains show are possible only during the weekends and on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, during the spring and the summer and fall. Not on Winter because of the freezing water.
- Learn about Marie Antoinette’s Life, and private Palace, private Village, the Petit Trianon of the Queen of France and Hamlet of the Queen
- We can rent bikes in garden or golf carts to navigate the immense Gardens and learn about the architect and the evolution of the garden landscapes of Versailles

2 – Giverny
We should see Monet’s House

Pick-up at your hotel 9am and drop off at 5 pm at your hotel
Tour Duration : 6 hours
This is one of my favorite destinations. The village is so beautiful and known to be full of exotic flowers.
You will see House of Claude Monet, climb on a Tower for the view, learn about the famous painter, his garden, his inspiration, the exotic flowers and trees…
3 – Normandy
D Day. See the Allied Landing Beaches. Hear stories about the WWII.
See the American cemetery

Drive to Normandy : 1h40
Tour Duration : about 10 hours
Transport : Professional Driver + Van
Explore the beautiful region of Normandy with a professional tour guide Ivan. Ivan is a licensed tour guide in France, a true native Normand. He can explain the D-Day and take you on a tour to see the German bunkers, the museum of Allied landing, the cemetry from the movie Saving private Ryan. You will hear stories about the secret services, the spies, the intelligence of the American plans to fool the Germans and to liberate France…
You can also ask Ivan to taste with him some of the Normandy local food: saucages (can contain Pork), crepes and cidre.
You will go with Sam, our classy professional driver in his Mercedes Class V.
During the road trip, your guide Ivan will explain to you the history of the region, WWII, and prepare the tour for you. Do not hesitate to ask him questions during the roadtrip.
You’ll leave Paris at 7am, and back around 7pm (depending on traffic). You’ll discover more about the landing beaches (Sword, Juno, Omaha, Utah, Gold ) and you’ll learn more about the story of the Allied Invasion of Omaha Beach, the Bunkers.
During the day, you’ll also stop at the American Cemetery, you’ll see the Artificial Harbor in Arromanches, and hear about the amazing counterintelligence stories, with lots of documents and physical proofs in the museums, featuring some of the heroic individual destinies of the famous soldiers …
